I started this blog in October of 2011 and started it as a hobby to share my nail art and techniques with those who are interested, to vent when I had no where else to go and to share things that I thought were worth sharing. I never really expected it to become what it has in these few short months. I have had so many hits on here from not just people I know, but people in other states and even crazier, other countries. I literally never thought that this many people would actually care to read the stuff that I either think is important or decided to ramble on about because I just had to get it off of my chest.
I love doing nails obviously. But I also like to share my life experiences with those that may need it and I like to keep people up to date on whats going on in the world (like my many SOPA/PIPA rants lol).
It still blows my mind that you guys read all of these things and it means a lot to me that strangers read my blog. Its almost like having a lot of invisible friends lol. Just kidding! But seriously, It does mean a lot to me and I would like to just take the time out to say thank you all, I love you all and that as long as you keep reading, I will keep posting.
I'm going to try this year to do more than just nail blogs and political blogs lol. I know that posting about politics is one way to start problems but the SOPA and PIPA mess was too much for me to NOT post about. Since we have this invisible, long distance and, in some cases, long distance friendship going I want to bring you guys more into my life a little. Not like sharing EVERYTHING but just for you to get to know me more.
Another thing that I wanted to say was that thanks to all of you guys, SOPA is now DEAD! I THINK PIPA is too but don't quote me on that. I am so happy that it's gone so that I can keep posting on here for you guys. Thank you all for clicking on the links I posted for the petitions and different articles to go to so you could all become informed citizens. As a young adult, I feel like it is important to make sure that people are and stay informed about the goings on of the country and the world since we are the future of it. And because I see so many people who either don't know or don't care or just cant make it home in time to watch the news.
Just because we have won this battle does not mean that we have won the Internet war though because I am pretty sure a bigger and more impactful (wait is that a word...) bill will surface but when it does, we will be ready.
Anyway, this random rant was just to tell you guys thank you soooo much from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog posts, watching my YouTube videos, following me on Tumbr and Twitter and Beautylish. I love you all and appreciate the support you give me. I look forward to new "Confessions" to post about soon :).

First Post of 2012
I know I haven't posted in over a month or uploaded any new videos in even longer than that BUT I'm here now and that is what counts my lovely followers.
So, first post of 2012 is about SOPA/PIPA.
If you follow my blog then you are well aware that i am STRONGLY against these acts. But if your new to my blog, now is the perfect time to catch up ;)
So, for those of you who do not know what SOPA or PIPA are, they are the weak ass attempts of the government trying to censor the Internet.
SOPA stands for Stop Online Piracy Act
PIPA stands for Protect IP Act
If your not exactly sure what these mean, bing, Google or Yahoo, or whatever lovely form of finding information you prefer, it.
The basic idea is that the government thinks that the Internet is evil and full of copyrighted information and the solution they have come up with is to try and pass these acts that block certain websites from being accessed if they contain copyrighted information. Now, in theory that's all good but in reality it would eventually bring the Internet crashing down.
Let me explain further...
Many of the most used websites (Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, YouTube, Blogger, Wikipedia, etc.) would be blocked from use forever. Why? Because people post copyrighted material on there all of the time. and its generally harmless things that get posted. BUT since its copyrighted material, whether infringement was intended or not, the government would see that website as a threat and block off all means of going to that website from the US forever. They are using "more job opportunities" as a way to get people to vote for it. But when you actually sit down to think about it,it would make more jobs unavailable and make the unemployment rate skyrocket and not only that, it would eventually put an end to the Internet its self in its entirety.
Today, January 18th, 2012 marks Internet Blackout Day!
Many of your favorite and most visited websites are "Blacking out" Google and Mozilla included. This is in protest to SOPA/PIPA and the ridiculousness of it. If you disagree with these and want to put your say in the matter, here is a way for you to do that...
https://www.google.com/landing/takeaction/
or just go to Google and click the big rectangle and it will take you to where you need to be to sign the petition. We need to tell congress to NOT vote these into effect!
So many peoples jobs not only rely on but require Internet use everyday. Its not only the bloggers/vloggers like me, but evangelists, churches who stream live services to those who cant make it out of the house to get to service, web designers, students, game designers, people in marketing/advertising, and countless others would be out of a job. Lets take a second to think about all of these people, their families and not to mention the people they help. We all use these

SOPA Is Bullshit
They are saying that it will help to save American jobs when in reality, it will hold back America and the possible progress that can be made to our country and actually LESSEN available jobs.
It may be a well intentioned Act but in reality it will hold us back. Yes there are plenty of people who abuse the Internet and illegally download music/movies/games/books/etc. BUT for every ONE person who abuses the power of the Internet, there are 5 more who use it in a POSITIVE way.
What these politicians don't understand about this act is that even if they pass it, there will still be people doing the illegal piracy junk. They will eventually find a way to work around this stupid act. So many different people use the Internet in not just their everyday lives but their jobs. If the SOPA is passed, the people who actually need the Internet for work will be put out of a job. Even if it doesn't happen right away, it will eventually come. Now, if this act is supposed to create MORE jobs, then why were these people not thought of? Because those politicians don't actually care. They just know that claiming that this act will "create" more jobs will make other politicians think that it is a legit claim without actually looking into it.
Our country should push forward but SOPA will push us BACK. Websites like Facebook, Google, Bing, Ask.com, Yahoo, Ebay, YouTube, Twitter, Tumblr, Beautylish, MTV.com, Blogger, and MORE will all be shut down. People like me who have Facebooks to keep in touch with friends in different towns, cities, states, and countries may be forced to loose touch with people they care about. People like (I can't believe I'm using him as am example, but...) Justin Bieber and Adam G. Sevani from Step Up 3D (Google him if your not sure who he is. While you still can that is...)were DISCOVERED on websites like YouTube. Many of the Gurus on YouTube who inspire millions of people with their talents every day have gotten more business because of websites like YouTube, Tumblr, Twitter and Beautylish. Why would the government want to mess with that?
Passing SOPA would destroy the Internet as we know it. When you think about it, SO MANY people NEED the Internet for their everyday jobs and lives. From the Taco Bell cashier whose registers update via Internet to serve the customers to the Marketing businessman who needs to check out the competition and has meetings via Web Chat to the YouTube guru who makes a living as a make up artist but gets more business because they get to showcase their talents online, to the celebrity who tries to get to know their fans better by a live U stream to the up and coming hopefuls who need to advertise their next show to gain fans to the church pastor who streams his sermons online for those who may be too sick to make it to service that day.
Stop SOPA for the love of our country and progress.
